BMW Spicup auctioned for 460.000 Euros



The BMW Spicup Convertible Coupe was originally presented to the public in 1969 at the Geneva Auto Show and the unique vehicle was made, as we said earlier, in collaboration with Bertone. The Spicup Convertible Coupe has been kept in perfect condition and over the year has seen the interior of the BMW Museum where saw it last year (photo)!



The 2.5 liter six-cylinder powered BMW Spicup Convertible Coupe has been sold for 460.000 euros after it was brought back to life, painting it with the original color and revising its mechanical parts.

Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series





AMG officially confirmed that it will produce a model Black Series of Mercedes SLS and the car will be of the most powerful AMG vehicles at all!

Expected to increase engine power to reach more than 600 horsepower (compared to 563 hp) and the norm of Black Series cars will see several external additions as seen this image approximate of the car.

BMW M5 - Small developments announced




The powerful BMW M5 F10 is not yet in concession that the Munich manufacturer already announced

Audi RS5: It passes to Convertible

Volkswagen Recalls 30,000 New Jettas From US Markets





Volkswagen said today that it is recalling more than 30,000 Jetta sedans from the 2011 and 2012 model years… because the tailpipes can stick out too far and burn people. You read it right.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said today on its site that the stainless steel exhaust pipe tips installed at ports of entry and dealerships can stick out farther than the factory-installed tailpipes.
If hot, people could be burned on the legs. So far Volkswagen has received fewer than 10 complaints of burns.

Dealers will replace the tailpipe free of charge. Volkswagen will start notifying its customers shortly.

Audi R8: The return of e-tron





The Audi R8 e-tron will again be present at the Frankfurt show in a version closer to the reality that all the versions that we have discovered and met for two years.

This version announces the R8 e-tron that could be produced in late 2012 and is closer to the combustion engine versions. The main differences are to be found on the side of the grille that adopts the new style of the famous Single Frame grille, a slightly different front cover and airy, the new lightweight mirrors and some beautiful pieces of carbon fiber to avoid overloading

The BMW Performance concept car based on the new BMW 1 Series will be presented at the next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show.


BMW Performance products emphasize the dynamic appearance and sporty driving characteristics of the new BMW 1 Series. The equipment includes a BMW Performance aerodynamics package, a BMW Performance suspension and a new BMW Performance 18-inch brake system, which is characterized by reduced weight and high thermal resistance. In addition, specific design features for the exterior and the interior, 19-inch BMW Performance light alloy wheels and a BMW Performance steering wheel will be presented.

The concept for the BMW Performance range for the new BMW 1 Series was initially devised in close cooperation with the BMW M GmbH. This allowed the motor racing expertise concentrated within the BMW M GmbH to be incorporated directly into the technology and the design of these retrofit components.

Volkswagen converts its 1.4 L TSI to 50/50 Technology



Volkswagen is developing its L4 1.4 TSI engine with the introduction of cutoff system, which provides partial deactivation of half the cylinders when the engine is running at constant speed and low speed.


 This principle is already well known but little used except with the famous Chrysler Hemi V8 that can run on only four cylinders under certain conditions. Audi has also adopted the system of power failure of half of cylinders of an engine on its new V8 4.0 L TFSI. In the present case, the electronic management and the camshafts put out of service the cylinders 2 and 3 between 1400 and 4000 rev / min, according to the regimes the variation of couple will be from 25 to 75 Nm, but it will be done without accoups, without vibration or discomfort to the user.

The technology will be available afterwards on other variants of the 1.4 L but it is also possible that VW takes this technology to other engine blocks.

Volkswagen GTI UP: For fun and memories of the Lupo GTI




Certainly careful implementation of the illustration is a little too much tuning, but the idea is there to make the UP GTI descendant of the Lupo GTI in the early years 2000-2001 which made us pleased with its behavior and his karting 1.6 L 16 V 125 hp who snored well through two central exhaust outlets (like the UP GTI).



Exit the old 1600 but we can imagine the 1.4 L TSI 140 with DSG which would make the UP mini sporty a powerful enough and live for pleasure driving. Is unlikely but a nice idea!

Audi A1 Sportback: Almost ready!




Here is a new spyshots of the future Audi A1 Sportbackthat is a surprise here almost no camouflage to hide the rear doors. Little to say except that it seems that the rear overhang slightly larger than the 3 door version and logically the roof is less rounded on the back to maintain a headroom bearable and easy access to rear seats. This A1 Sportback that will appear next spring should resume the majority of engines, gearboxes and finishing of the 3-door version.

BMW Z4 After 6 and 8 cylinders, place to 4 cylinders!





BMW Z4 roadster and its a new video which features the roadster in its new version equipped with the new 2.0 L L4 engine N20 Twin Turbo. A stroll through Grimes Canyon on Highway 23 that highlights the shape of the 4-cylinder Z4 but it sounds not bad.

Jaguar C-X16 A Two-Seater; What Mean The Name ?


The 2011 Frankfurt auto show opens to the media on Sept. 12, and one of the most anticipated concept cars making its debut on the show floor will be the Jaguar C-X16 concept, a promise-keeper for the brand's future entry-level sports car.
Chief designer Ian Callum says it's one of the most exciting cars he's worked on in his long history with the brand, and that excitement ends up showing up in the name: C-X16 is, in fact, the sixteenth car Callum has worked on since he landed at Jaguar after his tenures at Ford and TWR/Aston Martin.

The Frankfurt-bound C-X16 has been called a "production concept" by Jaguar officials in the press surrounding the release of a concept-car sketch, seen here. Those officials indicate the concept coming to Frankfurt will not be a running vehicle--and that suggests the C-X16 is a bit more "concept" than "production" car at this point in time, though clearly on a fast track to reality.

Officially, Jaguar says the concept is a "precursor to future Jaguar sports cars that will aim to set new class benchmarks in design, vehicle dynamics and technology."

Callum also confirms the C-X16 is a two-seater, something that looks obvious from sketches but hasn't been stated yet in the lead-up to the car's reveal in Frankfurt on September 7. He also says any production version will be aimed at a "volume" segment, something significantly less expensive than today's Jaguar XK and its base price of about $84,000.

As for his other budding sportscar project, the C-X75, Callum says "the Bugatti Veyron had better watch out," suggesting Jaguar has very lofty performance goals for its concept supercar, approved for production but sporting a plug-in hybrid drivetrain instead of its concept microturbine hybrid system.

BMW : Z4 & Z4

Here is a new communication session of the Munich manufacturer that emphasizes its roadtser Z4 in two quite different versions ...! At a time when the Mercedes SLK roadster enters the market, BMW has to occupy the field of communication facing the Mercedes roadster, which puts forward a weighty argument ... with the famous 250 CDI diesel version of 204 hp . BMW plans to launch electric car sports Megacity in 2013, and the official company's CEO Ayan Robertson says that this is just the beginning. Rumors of a possible triple-turbo six-cylinder have been the headliner for the next-generation M3 (though we aren't sold on the idea) but reports have also indicated the 2014 BMW M3 would drop the sedan version entirely. These spy shots appear to refute that idea.

The images show what looks to be a very sport version of the next-gen 3-Series (you can find our spy shots of the standard 2013 3-Series here), but without the power bulge found in the hood of the current M3. That bulge is what makes room for the screaming 4.0-liter V-8, and its absence tends to confirm the next M3 will be a six-cylinder.

Power estimates for the next-gen M Division turbo six range around the 450 horsepower mark, with BMW's characteristic inline six-cylinder layout a given. Whether it will feature two turbos (as we expect) or three (as rumored), it is said to be all-new, rather than an updated version of the N54/N55 found in the current 3-Series lineup.

Notable differences from the standard 2013 3-Series previously spied include a more aggressive aerodynamics kit, particularly at the front end, with much larger air intakes, likely to keep the intercooler cool and the brakes happy. Tiny openings in the camouflage hint at LED fog lights, while the familiar BMW ring-shaped headlights can be clearly seen beneath their own strips of obscuring tape.

The hood is shaped slightly differently as well, without the two creases seen in the previous non-M prototypes. The new converging curves, first seen on the 2012 6-Series, can also be seen peeking out from under the camo.

At the sides, we see flared wheel arches that make room for wider wheels, large brake discs within the wheels, and a low side-sill aerodynamic/appearance addition. Moving to the rear, split-quad exhaust outlets are nestled at the bottom of the bumper, but few other details can be discerned, as even the tail lights are mostly masked.

The next-generation M3 should arrive in mid- or late- 2013, several months after the 2013 3-Series' debut in late 2012. We'll bring you the latest spy shots and details as we uncover them.
