Audi R8: The return of e-tron





The Audi R8 e-tron will again be present at the Frankfurt show in a version closer to the reality that all the versions that we have discovered and met for two years.

This version announces the R8 e-tron that could be produced in late 2012 and is closer to the combustion engine versions. The main differences are to be found on the side of the grille that adopts the new style of the famous Single Frame grille, a slightly different front cover and airy, the new lightweight mirrors and some beautiful pieces of carbon fiber to avoid overloading

The R8 e-tron still has four electric motors located toward each wheel. The set provides a power of 230 kW (313 hp) but above 4500 Nm of torque which aparticipe to move this car of 1500 kg. The R8 reached a Vmax of 200 km / h (electronically limited) and shoots from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds. Autonomy develops a bit because Audi is targeting a range of 250 km against 200 km above.


The lithium-ion batteries with a total weight of 550 kg are located instead of the engine.
It has a capacity of 53 kWh and can be recharged in 6-8 hours on a home powered by 230 V or 2:30 with a rapid charger. The Audi R8 e-tron also has a system for recovering energy during braking or deceleration that can be managed by the car driver.
