Volkswagen GTI UP: For fun and memories of the Lupo GTI




Certainly careful implementation of the illustration is a little too much tuning, but the idea is there to make the UP GTI descendant of the Lupo GTI in the early years 2000-2001 which made us pleased with its behavior and his karting 1.6 L 16 V 125 hp who snored well through two central exhaust outlets (like the UP GTI).

No Seat Leon at the Frankfurt show in September but a "nice" newness to accompany the Exeo just restyled, the new Seat Toledo Concept prefiguring the Toledo serial that will go on sale next year.

A car that will in fact be the Hispanic version of the recent Volkswagen Jetta. Less engine, a streamlined finishing, probably less equipment,
this is what awaits us on this future Seat sedan that will be positioned between the Leon and Exeo in the Iberian range of the manufacturer.

Not sure that this helps Seat except perhaps in China where the manufacturer will be present at the end of the year!

2012 Honda Civic: It always tease



While we can not find a photo of this 9th generation Civic, the Japanese automaker continues its merry way with the third component of the teaser video of the car. Silent and flag of the 2012 Civic are the program of this new video.

Ford & Toyota: Pre agreement for big hybridization



At a time when Toyota is finally coming to Europe at the Frankfurt Motor Show its new minivan hybrid, the Prius Verso and when Ford announced that it will unveil its hybrid Plug in the C-Max, the two major automakers associate and bookmark a partnership agreement to jointly develop hybrid engines for heavy vehicle rear-wheel drive and therefore, we immediately think to pick up for North American market.

The Ferrari 458 Spider Italia is revealed officially

Here it is officially presented the new version of the F458 Spider Italia that will come on the market titillated other supercars discoverable.



We suspected a bit but the case is confirmed the F458 Spider Italia has an electrically retractable hardtop behind the seats and under bonnet cover, which is sadly not transparent. The F458 Spider Italia therefore propose a mechanism partly copied from the F575 Superamerica, the hood covers in addition!

We learn that only takes 14 seconds to fold or pack said the roof that allows passengers of the Ferrari to be well protected even at high speeds.



The new structure and the roof add to the F458 some 50 kg which half just for the roof. The F458 Spider weighs 1430 kg. Several major carshares have rolled out new logos and names recently.  It's interesting to see the direction different companies have taken.

Modo, formerly Cooperative Auto Network, Vancouver, BC, Canada — The most complete design makeover, possibly in anticipation of the arrival of car2go.  What does Modo mean?  They say it’s a reference to modality, multi-modal, modern.  Very clean - I like it.

Hertz On Demand, formerly Connect by Hertz — Perhaps the most drastic make-over, taking the word carsharing out and tagging the service "Rent Spontaneously"; finally capitalizing on the signature yellow of the Hertz brand.  One can understand the strategic motivation to tie the service closer to the core brand and wouldn't be surprised if other rental companies follow suit.  Will blurring the distinction between car rental and car sharing make it more difficult to cities to partner for carsharing services?

U Haul Carshare, formerly U Carshare —  Now the name says exactly where its roots are.  (Perhaps they got tired of hearing everyone refer to it incorrectly, so may decided to change the name to what people where calling it already. Who knows?)  They've  moved beyond PT Cruisers and, thankfully, also moved beyond plastering a billboard's worth of advertising on the sides of their vehicles.  They've quietly expanded to 22 college campuses and one city (Salt Lake).

CommunAuto, Montreal — North America's oldest and probably the most profitable carshare has adopted a more streamlined logo.  All that and having the cheapest rates on the continent!  (Not sure if the 2 color design was intentionally making a pun - about being the
"un-auto"?)

Ferrari 458 Italia Spider: Italy, speed and great look



It will be the attraction of the Ferrari stand at Frankfurt Motor Show, here are the first pictures of the new F458 Spider Italia that comes with two beautiful bumps behind the seats.



Might have been expected to forms a little more discreet and less prominent but according to the latest information, it seems to rear cover, not a rubber mask but a solid roof best able to withstand the high speeds that the canvas. To check in the coming days with information released by the manufacturer of Maranello.



Mechanically, we should not expect changes in this version F458 Spider since we end up with pleasure the 4.5 L V8 of 570 hp at 9000 rev and 540 Nm of torque at 6000 rev / min with the F1 gearbox with seven reports. Audi A1 Sportback: Almost ready!




Here is a new spyshots of the future Audi A1 Sportbackthat is a surprise here almost no camouflage to hide the rear doors. BMW Z4 After 6 and 8 cylinders, place to 4 cylinders!

Jaguar C-X16 A Two-Seater; What Mean The Name ?


The 2011 Frankfurt auto show opens to the media on Sept. 12, and one of the most anticipated concept cars making its debut on the show floor will be the Jaguar C-X16 concept, a promise-keeper for the brand's future entry-level sports car.
Chief designer Ian Callum says it's one of the most exciting cars he's worked on in his long history with the brand, and that excitement ends up showing up in the name: C-X16 is, in fact, the sixteenth car Callum has worked on since he landed at Jaguar after his tenures at Ford and TWR/Aston Martin.

The Frankfurt-bound C-X16 has been called a "production concept" by Jaguar officials in the press surrounding the release of a concept-car sketch, seen here. Those officials indicate the concept coming to Frankfurt will not be a running vehicle--and that suggests the C-X16 is a bit more "concept" than "production" car at this point in time, though clearly on a fast track to reality.

Officially, Jaguar says the concept is a "precursor to future Jaguar sports cars that will aim to set new class benchmarks in design, vehicle dynamics and technology."

Callum also confirms the C-X16 is a two-seater, something that looks obvious from sketches but hasn't been stated yet in the lead-up to the car's reveal in Frankfurt on September 7. He also says any production version will be aimed at a "volume" segment, something significantly less expensive than today's Jaguar XK and its base price of about $84,000.

As for his other budding sportscar project, the C-X75, Callum says "the Bugatti Veyron had better watch out," suggesting Jaguar has very lofty performance goals for its concept supercar, approved for production but sporting a plug-in hybrid drivetrain instead of its concept microturbine hybrid system.

Lexus GS 2013 - official photos

Prototype of Peugeot EX1




From prototypes recently introduced the Peugeot EX1, which the company describes as the future of small electric cars through its high speed compared to other battery-powered cars.
Lightweight of the car was one of the factors that helped the car to break the 6 record for electric cars. Car engine generates 170 hp and able to access from 0-100 in 3.55 seconds a top speed of up to 161 miles / hour.
The EX1 reflect the company's 200 anniversary celebration and at the same time is a sign of the evolution of techniques used by Peugeot and its models in the future, especially in the field of electric vehicles.
