Mazda SKYACTIV Technology, Passion and Ecology
By now, we’ve driven Mazda’s new SkyActiv drivetrain technology a number of times. Here’s what we said last time, “As for me, ever since this drive, I’ve been fantasizing about a Skyactiv-D-equipped MX-5. If that doesn’t tell you that Mazda’s on the right track with this Skyactiv stuff, nothing will. ”
Yeah, we’re fantasizing about a diesel in a roadster. We’re ‘that guy.’ Well, that and the SkyActiv engines, despite being fuel efficient, aren’t focused solely on fuel economy, they’re made by Mazda after all and Mazda still, thankfully, has its head on correctly.
